We are dedicated cichlid fans living in San Francisco, US, who fell in love with Peacock Cichlids: those stunning, jewel-toned beauties of Lake Malawi. A pastime became a mission: to spread the joy, colors, and tales of these amazing fish to the world. The Peacock Cichlid Zone brings together guides, counsel, and stories from the heart for everyone who loves to dive into the colorful world of cichlids.

Where It All Began

It began with one fish, one tank, and one spark of interest. Seeing that initial Peacock Cichlid glow under the light was all it took to turn everything around. From tank setup to understanding the dos and don'ts of care, we learned about the benefits and the pure joy these fish bring. That affection grew into a room devoted solely to honoring them: Peacock Cichlid Zone.
